A Master of Two Servants

Ottawa, Ontario playwright Michael Sobol has been working hard with our founding Artistic Director Laurie Steven on the creation of this new piece. In the fall of 2026, there is a planned 3 day script workshops where Michael will see his work in a staged workshop setting with professional actors. 

The Blue Demon 

Artistic Director Laurie Steven and Ravibandu Vidyapathy of the Sri Lankan State Dance Ensemble are collaborating on a new work that weaves together an Italian folktale with Sri Lankan myth. The collaborators are blending Kolam masked dance-drama with Commedia dell’Arte.  

The Berlin Blues 

Building on a previous workshop, we are exploring bringing together Commedia dell’Arte with Anishinaabe humour in our masked interpretation of Drew Hayden Taylor’s comedy, The Berlin Blues.
